Vivan Nguyen, HBSc, DD
Vivan Nguyen is a licensed denturist and one of the owners here at Hayven Dentures. Working with the team at Hayven Dentures, Vivan's goal is to create a place that is of the highest professional standard and be a place that is both comfortable and welcoming to her staff and patients.
A beautiful smile affects a person's confidence as well as their everyday function. Knowing how much a great pair of dentures can drastically change a person's life, Vivan prioritizes her patient's present and long-term concerns and works hard to make sure her patients receive the best care and treatment that they deserve.
Vivan graduated from the University of Toronto with Honors in Bachelor of Arts and Science, specializing in Human Biology and Psychology. She returned to school and attended George Brown College, graduating on the Dean's List for all three years of the denturism program.
With the advances in research and technology in the denture field, Vivan understands the importance of Continuing Education to find the best solutions to common denture problems. Together with Hayes, she has traveled the world to further her knowledge and continue improving her denture skillset.
Along with Hayes, Vivan is the first denturist in Ontario to be certified in the Suction Denture SEMCD (Suction Effective Mandibular Denture) technique in June of 2017. She traveled to Vancouver Island to learn from one of the three SEMCD instructors in BC. Vivan was then asked to stay as a denturist in the same clinic and went on to work alongside her mentors for 2 years.
Vivan traveled to Japan in 2018 to learn and obtain her certification in the OM Denture System (Occlusal Map). In 2019, she obtained her BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) certification to further enhance her skills. Altogether, the different techniques and knowledge allow Vivan to personalize each denture in function and esthetics to each of her individual patients.
Vivan takes the utmost pride in her work. She not only wants patients to receive the best care that they deserve, but also be informed about their own oral health and make educated decisions on their well-being.
She is passionate about her field of trade but outside of work, Vivan is trying her hand at making resin charms, writing short stories and spending her time outdoors.
